Rota Nanny in Switzerland

Rota nanny

When she’s on duty, a rota nanny generally works 24/7, in a rotation system with another nanny: 2 weeks of work followed by 2 weeks off. This rotation will repeat until the end of the contract.

Many rota nannies work on yachts or for royal and VIP families. These families typically have a busy lifestyle or travel a lot, thus favouring rota nannies in order to benefit a non-stop childcare service.

Rota nannies particularly appreciate this kind of intense duty where they work for a preset number of weeks, allowing them to plan in advance and alternate with long breaks.

Importantly, rota nannies’ salaries are generally attractive, starting at CHF 7’500 per month. Rota jobs are often tailor-made for clients, and the remuneration will depend on many factors such as: flexibility to travel with the family, the country where the mission is based, language skills and number of children in the family.
